Cream Cheese Mozzarella Caprese Skillet Dip

This dip is too good not to share! It’s rich, creamy, and super flavorful! It will for sure be an appetizer staple going forward!

Ingredients

8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced

Topping

½ cup parmesan cheese

1 cup (or more if you like), halved cherry tomatoes

1 tbsp Balsamic Glaze, I used Bertolli

Cream cheese mixture

5 oz. cream cheese, softened

1 package of fresh basil, chopped

1 tbsp Balsamic Glaze, I used Bertolli

4-5 garlic cloves, chopped

1/2 cup parmesan

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

½ tsp Italian seasoning

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Mix together cream cheese, basil, balsamic glaze, garlic, parmesan, pepper, salt, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes
  2. In an 8 inch cast iron skillet (I sprayed mine with cooking spray, don’t get mad at me cast iron people!!), layer half of the mozzarella on the bottom, then spread cream cheese mixture on top, then layer the rest of the fresh mozzarella on top (so basically mozzarella/cream cheese mixture/mozzarella). Top with parmesan cheese and tomatoes. And then I drizzled the remaining balsamic glaze on top. I also added a sprinkle of salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to the top.
  3. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Serve with bread or crackers. YUM!
