The older I get, the more I realize how much I love girl’s trips (even with all of their craziness!! :)). When you’re younger, you take for granted the unlimited, uninterrupted girl time that you once had. I also feel like I live my best life on vacation–I mean, who doesn’t?! I truly live my life to the fullest on vacation–all the food, all the alcohol, all the fun! This time, it was celebrating Tina’s bachelorette party in Chicago. It was a blast! Pasta, wine, and mini desserts at one of my fave restaurants – RMP Italian (no G&B sighting, unfortunately)!I would make a trip to Chicago again just to go back to the Restoration Hardware store and restaurant. The food, decor, and ambiance is EVERYTHING. They let you order drinks and walk around the store and sit on a bunch of furniture that you’ll never be able to afford–FUN! Just don’t sit on the window sills, because some man who works there with a stick up his you know what will talk to you in stern words and make you feel like a 5 year old :). All of the food we had was so good–burrata, grilled cheese, fries, turkey club…oh and rosé, of course! Be prepared for a long wait for a table to eat. But, while you’re waiting, get a drink and lounge! This striped shirt is only $19 and so cute! I recommend to size up if you want to tie it like I did (wearing a large). Added bonus if you size up, you can rock it with no pants Tom Cruise style! My GiGi New York Clutch that I take and wear everywhere! If five stories of shopping and an arboretum where you can eat don’t sell you–this rooftop is so relaxing! Next up: drinks at the J. Parker–cool views, the food looked great (we didn’t have any), but beware that the cocktails are pre-made so they feel a little less fancy. It’s worth going for the views alone, though! Dinner: Beatnik–interesting menu (maybe a little out there for me!) but the vibe in here can’t be beat (no pun intended :)! I would go back again for a cocktail, for sure! Late night snack: Velvet Taco (buffalo chicken tacos, yes!)I am honestly shocked out good I felt on Saturday when I woke up. And thank goodness I did, because the frosé and food at Hampton Social were so good. When researching places to go in Chicago, I obviously knew we had to make it to the place that had the lit up Rosé all day sign but that’s really all I had in mind–what an added bonus!
I need this blue YETI cooler asap. Here are some fun party favors that I brought: flamingo straws / flamingo drink holder / drink markersLast seen in Chicago: gorging ourselves (at a non-Chicago, oops) pizza place–Homeslice (so good though!). Honestly, I do better without deep dish in my life (who am I?!). But, just trust me on that one! 2 more days until the weekend!!!
