Not going to lie, I majorly sucked at taking pictures this weekend. I think it was a combination of being on the go for most of the weekend and just pure laziness – so apologies ahead of time.
Friday after work, we celebrated our one year until the wedding with mini cupcakes from Dolce! I was nice and let Nick have the red velvet. Once I bit into it…let me rephrase, stuck the whole cupcake in my mouth, I was seriously wishing we had the regular sized ones. 🙂 My boss introduced me to Dolce Bakery a few months ago and I’m hooked.
We had a double date on Friday night with one of my best friends and her husband. We went to Louie’s Wine Dive and then to see Black Mass. The movie was shockingly good. I say shockingly because getting me to see any movie outside of the chick flick realm…and liking it is a big step. Johnny Depp was was perfect Boston gangster. I think Nick was only slightly annoyed that I practiced my Boston accent for the rest of the weekend.
I did a little shopping on Saturday and discovered these adorable glasses at World Market. Because I couldn’t decide on which size to get, I bought one tall skinny one and am currently using it as a vase. 🙂
Nick and I are members of the wine club at Cooper’s Hawk on the Plaza. We do a wine tasting and dinner with a few of our friends every month. As cheesy as it sounds, it really has expanded my palette. I am normally the girl drinking moscato (don’t die wine snobs) but I was thoroughly enjoying this barbera.
Nick and I have both been out of town a lot so Sunday was spent doing laundry. Ugh. Like 15 loads of it. I’m never letting myself get that behind again. Seeing pumpkins at the grocery store gets me all sorts of excited. Like enough to go home and put on my favorite fall movie, You’ve Got Mail. I rarely get a good picture of both of the babes looking semi presentable so this was a big win. Sunday’s weather was perfect and these dogs were begging for a long walk.
